Shop Around: Best Caribbean Cruise Deal

In order to find the best deal on any product or service, it always pays to shop around. Finding the best Caribbean cruise deal is no different. The consumer has some important decisions to make when deciding on what type of cruise he wants to take. Not only does he need to decide where in the Caribbean he wants to go, but he also needs to look at the different cruise lines to see what features he wants to have in the cruise line he chooses. Finally, he needs to decide on the time of year and the length of time for the trip, because all of these factors play into his finding the best Caribbean cruise deal around.

Planned or Last Minute

Although it is almost always best to plan far in advance when trying to find the best Caribbean cruise deal, there are some cases when last minute cruise deals, like with Royal Caribbean, arise which give superb rates that cannot be found at another time. The only way this type of situation can be of benefit to the customer is if he has an extremely flexible schedule and has cash on hand to spend on a vacation such as this. If that is the case, a person can find wonderful deals on even a seven night trip, often finding it for less than three hundred dollars per person for the entire package.

However, most people do not have the flexibility to leave their jobs for a week on a moment's notice, nor do they have cash on hand to spend for their whole family to also go on the trip. For most, they have to plan in advance to be able to get the best Caribbean cruise deal on the market. Most of the best deals out there are to go to the Southern or Western Caribbean. Although some of those areas were affected by some recent hurricanes, they have been rebuilt into beautiful vacation spots and are quickly growing in popularity. However, they are still significantly less expensive than the Eastern Caribbean cruises.

Another factor in finding the best Caribbean cruise deal is to separate the air line tickets form the cruise package itself. Many times a careful traveler can find much less expensive air line tickets by shopping around rather than going through the cruise line. They can also use any frequent flyer miles that they might have so that the flight can be even cheaper or possibly free. This saves a lot of money on the cost of the trip, although it also means that they will have to handle their own luggage as well as any travel to the ship, should their flight be delayed for any reason.
